AJA has been approved by the Dental Laboratories (DLA) in the UK to conduct assessments against the DENTAL APPLIANCE MANUFACTURERS AUDIT SCHEME (DAMAS). Very similar to ISO 9001:2000, DAMAS is more tailored to the needs and operations of Dental Laboratories

Developed by the Dental Laboratories Association, DAMAS is designed to bring significant benefits to everyone in the dental chain. Laboratories will have reliable quality procedures and traceability, dentists can be confident that their dental laboratory adheres to all regulatory requirements relating to lab work and the production of dental appliances. The scheme is supported by a host of dental industry partners both: the British Dental Association, the General Dental Practitioners Association, Dental Protection, the Department of Health, the British Dental Health Association, the British Dental Trades Association and Denplan Ltd.
